Naujaat is a fly-in destination that is accessed out of the Kivalliq region. Calm Air, based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba, is the service provider. Calm Air provides direct flights between Rankin Inlet and Naujaat on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. The flight, which normally takes one hour and fifteen minutes, departs Rankin Inlet at noon and arrives in Naujaat at 1:15 PM. Return flights depart Naujaat at 2:00 PM and arrive back in Rankin Inlet at 3:15 PM.
Plan one day to fly in and one day to fly out. If you are travelling from Winnipeg, you may need to spend the night in Rankin Inlet before proceeding on to Naujaat the next day.
Upon arrival in Naujaat, guests staying at the Naujaat Hotel can access the complimentary shuttle service. Other modes of transportation in town include motor vehicles (year round) snowmobiles and qamutiks in winter and boats in the summer.
